4th of July

This year the girls and I went to the Kaysville Parade to see Abby on her cheerleading float. We spent the day with the Vasquez family. It was a lot of fun and really hot. Jared had to work in the morning but he made it home in time to watch fireworks with us. It was a great day!

The girls, Kelley and I also went and visited Ashley up in Park City while she was staying up there for a quick dinner and dip in the pool.

LIttle Cheerleader

Abby got to sign up to do a cheer camp this summer. It was about a week long and at the end of the week the girls got to be on a float at the Kaysville 4th of July parade. She had a lot of fun and learned some cute cheers.

Camping at Strawberry

Jared actually had some time off work so we got to go do one of our most favorite family activities, CAMPING. It was the first time in a long time we used a tent. Yes, we are spoiled and get to use his dad's nice trailer usually but this time we did the real deal and tented it. It was so much fun. We went up to Strawberry reservoir. It was such a beautiful time of year, the end of June. The nights were a little chilly but we got to have fires and snuggle close in the tent. During the day we went fishing, four wheeling and played with the dogs. It was so nice to have a break from the stress of life and be outdoors doing what we love.

Fairview

For the past few years, our whole family has taken a trip down to Fairview over Memorial Day along with my mother's side and we all rent cabins at a resort there. This year was our last year going. It was definately bitter sweet. It's a fun place and we get to be with our cousins but the weather isn't always great but I'm hoping our family will still continue going on some sort of family trip each year because we all really enjoy it. This year we spent one of the days down at Palisades State Park playing in the water and on paddle boats. It was a lot of fun. It's nice too because we get to see Brooke and her family.

Beautiful Baptism June 4, 2011

This was one of Abby's most important birthdays this year, she turned 8, so being baptized was an important goal for her. We haven't been to church for quite some time so when we started going back in December, we decided to have Abby take some discussions from a family in our ward the Peterson's. We went over to their house and they also came to ours to discuss the importance of baptism and to make sure Abby was ready to be baptized. She and I both really wanted Jared to be able to baptize her so we waited until June when he was ready to do It. It was a wonderful and spiritual experience for us all. It was so amazing to see her in the font dressed in white with Jared holding her. We bought the most beautiful white dress and she looked like a princess. Mont confirmed her and it was very kind and beautiful too. It was a great day to have all the family together and a day that I hope Abby will remember forever because I will.
